How much does a women's doctor make?

In the United States, OB-GYN pay can vary with experience, extra credentials, and specialized or complex work. Employer, location, and hours also matter, including night, weekend, or on-call shifts.

What's a typical day like?

They see patients for pregnancy checkups and other health concerns, review test results, and plan care. At a hospital, they may monitor labor, help deliver a baby, or perform a C-section.

Many start college after high school, around age 18, earn a bachelor’s degree, and complete four years of medical school. They pass licensing exams, get a state license, and finish a four-year OB-GYN residency before practicing independently.
