How much does a forklift operator make?

What's a typical day like?

At a warehouse, a forklift operator checks a pallet, slides the forks underneath, and carries it to a loading dock or storage rack. They watch for people and obstacles while stacking or unloading goods and checking what moved.

A high school diploma or GED is common in the U.S., though some jobs need less. Most nonfarm operators must be 18 or older and pass employer-led classroom, hands-on, and workplace evaluations for certification.
