What's a typical day like?

After checking the visit plan, a home helper travels between clients’ homes to help with meals, bathing, cleaning, or shopping. They share updates and write care notes between visits or at the end of the day.

How to get this job

In Japan, there is no single required school route; the usual first step is to complete the Initial Care Worker Training course and its final assessment, then apply to a home-care agency. With at least three years of experience and Practical Care Worker Training, you can take the national Certified Care Worker exam.
